How soon will you reply to a quote request?
We acknowledge most enquiries within a few hours and return a firm route and chargeable-weight quote within one working day. If the shipment is urgent, tell us the ready date and we will escalate it to the operations desk for same-day routing.
What information do you need for a binding quote?
At minimum: origin address/ departure airport, destination airport or delivery address, commodity description, number of pieces, actual weight and per-piece dimensions (L×W×H). Also tell us if the cargo needs temperature control, security escort, insurance, fumigation, or phytosanitary certificates, each affects the routing and cost.
What is chargeable weight and how is it calculated?
Airlines bill on chargeable weight, which is the greater value between the actual weight and volumetric weight of the packaged shipment. Volumetric weight is calculated by multiplying length × width × height (in cm) and dividing by a standard divisor, typically 6,000 for air freight. When we handle your packaging, we engineer the packaging to minimise the chargeable weight so you pay the lowest possible rate.
What is the difference between airport-to-airport and door-to-door shipment?
Airport-to-airport means you deliver the cargo to the origin airport and collect it from the destination airport. Door-to-door means we collect from the shipper, handle both export and import customs, book the flight, and deliver to the final recipient. if you opt for airport to airport, you should advice if you require import clearance at the destination’s country or you will handle all the operations of the consignment as soon as the shipment arrives at the destination airport
What export documents do you handle for air freight from Tanzania?
Common documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, airway bill (AWB), export declaration, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, and any commodity-specific permits. We review your shipment and tell you exactly what is needed before pickup, so you can prepare or coordinate each document necessary.
Do you provide cargo insurance?
Yes. We arrange all-risk cargo insurance through A-rated underwriters. We advise on the right coverage based on commodity value and route, and we assist with claims if damage or loss occurs. We recommend insurance for high-value, fragile, perishable or irreplaceable cargo.
Can you track shipments while they are in transit?
Yes. Once the airline accepts the cargo, the AWB number gives full visibility through the carrier’s tracking system. For door-to-door shipments, we also coordinate with our partnering agent in the respective country to confirm each milestone: pickup, airline handover, departure, arrival, customs clearance and final delivery.
Do you work with airlines or carriers looking for representation in Tanzania?
Yes. We currently operate as GSA for South African Airways Cargo and CSA for Air France, KLM, Martinair Cargo in Tanzania. Carriers looking for a local sales, booking, reservations and revenue-accounting partner can contact our commercial team to discuss the Tanzanian market.
